Built in 1952, the property on the corner of Margarethenstrasse and Dornacherstrasse housed a Migros retail outlet on the ground floor for a long time. In the front area was the actual sales area with numerous shelves along the walls and in the room. The office, cold stores and delivery area were located at the rear.

Through targeted interventions and by incorporating the existing building fabric, in particular the raw concrete ceiling and pillars, in combination with the polished cement screed and the natural-coloured plaster on the walls, it has been possible to create an atmosphere that is convincing in its effect, precisely through the deliberate simplicity and restraint of the rooms.
